# Bundle fails with Invalid expression encountered after supabase-js update

> supabase-js 2.90 and later include a dynamic import(/* webpackIgnore */ OTEL_PKG) that the Hermes v1 compiler cannot bundle.

Versions: Expo SDK 56/57 Hermes v1, @supabase/supabase-js 2.90+

## Cause

supabase-js 2.90 and later include a dynamic `import(/* webpackIgnore */ OTEL_PKG)` that the Hermes v1 compiler cannot bundle. A caret range drifts to it on any reinstall.

## Fix

Pin supabase-js exactly (no caret) to the last version without the dynamic import:

"@supabase/supabase-js": "2.89.0"
```
